A responsible government is a transparent and accessible
government. Innovation and constant progress are created only with
the help of interested citizens, and we can use technology to make
information more accessible and giving input more convenient.
I will apply my skills as a designer to make Fayetteville's
website more popular and useful. It should be more convenient for
busy or disabled people to participate in our government, and I think
citizens should be able to join our democratic process through the
Internet. Plus, the Internet is the most effective way to involve
young people.
We can already pay our utility bills online, request city
services, and read agendas. Why not live discussions of community
concerns or a search function of our public records?
