Preserve Greenspace and Agricultural Potential with Infill

Some of us might not like it, but Fayetteville is growing regardless. We need to recognize that, study our projected growth, and plan for it. If we don't create smart and efficient regulation, we will end up with unchecked growth and development instead of the livable and sustainable community we have envisioned.

Since Fayetteville is a great place to live - and it's only getting better - people are going to keep moving here. We need to carefully plan how it incorporate new members of our community into our existing infrastructure and town fabric. We need to create pocket parks and install public art in our neighborhoods and fill in the gaps along our thoroughfares with mixed-use housing. That kind of development is called "quality infill" in our 2025 Plan.

Quality infill is a major component of our transition to sustainability. We need to preserve the natural beauty and agricultural potential of the land surrounding Fayetteville. If we plan to accommodate new citizens of Fayetteville in a smart and efficient way, we can preserve our natural heritage for future generations.
